Licensing
Detection free for everyone. Marking free to a cap. Licence above it.
Over the cap nothing stops. The signed export and the paperwork wait for a licence: a file you install, checked offline.

In every tier: detection and verification free · the cap never stops marking · a signed file, checked offline · a month or a year + 30 days' grace · marking never waits on our servers
The evidence log is the meter. There is no other counter.
- Every mark writes an entry; credits come from what it records. An unmarked output counts 0.
- Credits: image 1 · audio 0.05 a second · video 0.2 a second · text 0.05 per 1,000 tokens.
- Over the cap, marks, signatures, entries and timestamps continue. The export and the paperwork answer with a notice.
- A licence opens the export and paperwork for the months it covers; they stay open after it lapses.
What a call costs
Only the audio your bot speaks counts: the seconds it sends through the marker. The caller, hold and the gaps between turns do not.
| Plan | Per minute | A 5-minute call | Per hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Credits | 3 | 15 | 180 |
| Lite | $0.03 | $0.15 | $1.79 |
| Starter | $0.01 | $0.05 | $0.60 |
| Growth | $0.006 | $0.03 | $0.36 |
| Scale | $0.0015 | Under $0.01 | $0.09 |
Free covers 1,200 credits a month: 400 minutes, about 80 such calls. Dollars use monthly prices; yearly billing is cheaper. Silence in the bot's audio counts.

The command installs the licence; the deployment fetches renewals itself. Your media and keys stay on your servers.

A number in a watermark is a claim. A registration makes it a fact.
Checked anywhere else, without your evidence log, a mark reads:
- Issuer
- Signed by Registered Issuer 1, watermark agrees; Registered to Laidline, operator of laidline.com, per directory snapshot 2026-10-21
Issuer 1 belongs to Laidline (laidline.com), per the directory the check used. The directory says who owns the number. Only your log proves a given mark came from you.
Laidline Source-Available Licence
Read, run, modify and self-host it.
A competing product or hosted service is not permitted.
Detection stays free for everyone.
Model weights keep their own licences: PixelSeal, AudioSeal, VideoSeal and TrustMark under MIT.
Also: the customer licence agreement and the legal-process policy.
- Stop marking or evidence recording. Past a free allowance or after a lapse, new marks carry the shared key.
- Change a detection result or a grade.
- Encrypt, delete or lock your raw log. You may read, copy and export it at any time.
- Phone home before a mark. The licence is a file, checked offline.
- See your media, prompts, logs, signing keys or payload keys.
Four questions, answered short.
- Can we stay free for good?
- Under the cap, yes: marking, export and paperwork. Detection stays free at any volume.
- What does Laidline receive?
- Nothing until you register. Then your signed registration and monthly counts, which paid plans must report.
- Per installation or per company?
- The software counts per log. One free allowance covers every company member that uses Laidline.
- What if we rotate the signing key?
- Licensed months stay covered. The licence is reissued for the new key, free.
